Being that my daughter will be here in February, and our house is only 2 bedrooms (we can't afford to get a bigger house at the moment), Brae will be in our bedroom for the first couple months, but what is the best way to start transitioning her into the room with our son? He will be 17 months old by time she gets here, and hopefully sleeping in a toddler bed. Also, any ideas on how to make their room special for the both of them? 😊

do it half and half. Paint (if you can) the room half girl color and half boy color . Decorate it half and half. Keep a monitor in there to watch him at night to make sure he doesn't try to mess with her crib or anything. If she's a cryer you may want to even keep her in your room longer than expected so you don't have two up at once

Our walls are a very pretty wood paneling, so we may just have to put up some decorations so I won't ruin the wood! & yes! I'll have to get a video monitor, that would work a lot better than a regular one. My son slept in our room until he was 5 months, due to living with my husbands grandparents while getting our house. So depending on how she does, will determine how long she sleeps in the same room with us :) @countrymommy0916

Also, maybe prep your son ahead of time by talking about sharing a room and get him involved/excited. 😊

He acts like he knows already! @jjbutton but he is only 13 months! He kisses my belly when I say baby, and seems as if he knows what's going on when we told him about having s baby sister! So maybe he will catch on quick :)
