Yes you are😕you should appreciate the lil things kids aren't cheap & as a first time mom we usually buy things they don't even use...its either never used or used once i spend over 100 on a high chair that she sat in for 20 mins once😕a crib that was more then 400 that she never used just laid her in to take a pic...lol sometimes hand me downs arnt so bad but i respect ur decision ur child ur choice just dont get carried away a baby is a blessing should be more about the baby then the material things for the baby...after all its the thought that counts😊good luck best wishes

We actually do pretty well for ourself but will be using a ton of hammy downs, especially clothing. They just fit into everything for such a short period of time.

@lalaloopsi, @frances.gln92 idk I guess it's more of the excitement of me having my first child and her being my best friend, since we always go all out for events...like when she had her son I didn't spend much but was able to get her the things she needed...but whatever I receive for baby girl I will totally be happy about I just always been weird about used items but everyone is different

no its understandable but maybe she fell on hard time and that's all she can give right now at least its something. I would be more upset if she didn't give you anything

Lol i know what ur saying i have an issue with good will😐i mean i didnt have hand me downs cuz everyone around me had boys lol i mean bottles is a big no no binkies noo lol but like toys or high chairs or bouncers if you know where they coming from why not you know....wish i had most of my daughters clothe for my baby lol they where nice yea we go all out on our first babys...see when i had my first i didnt work my husband and mom bought everything i didnt start spoiling her till she was 11 mths and decided to go back to work now i have bought everything my self and so has grandma lol I'm not judging we are all different and yes we splurge some times just bought me an amazing diaper bag which is over prized but heck i wanted to have it lol😋😋im just saying if you can why not go for it😊

I don't know what I am having yet but my bff had our goddaughter in June 2014. We spoiled her and still do. She will be gifting me from my registry but if it is a girl she asked if I wanted her hand me downs and I said MOS DEF, specially because I bought many of those and I know the quality and she used it very little. Also the mamaroo I gifted her she barely used and that one I requested all on my own because it cost me around 250.00. So as long as they are in good state and you don't mind you can have new ones and used ones.

@lalaloopsi, omg I thought I was the only one that had an issue with good will...but yeah I'll be happy with what she can give but like you said no used bottles or binkys that a total no for me...and I already no this child will be spoiled by everyone when she is a bit older and especially by me 😊...and it's ok to splurge once in a while especially if it's something you will use often

Lol yes i can do like wall decor or like lil status from good will or garage sales never anything else especially silver wear or dishes you know besides Their shit no good and over priced lol just donated my stroller to them😒because now days they sale car seats with strollers you know how hard it was to find a car seat alone nope didnt find one had to buy the whole thing together besides now they have the exp date like dam does time change😂😂😂

I understand what others are saying completely understand you when you say you want everything new. When I had my first child that's how I was!! It was my first baby and I jus preferred everything brand new and I think there is nothing wrong with that or feeling that way. My son wasn't until about 2 years old when I started accepting hand me downs from my brother who is a year older than him

My friend gave me some hand me downs and I sold some of it and gave some away.
