just remember your relationship is between y'all and if they have a problem they should at least tell you why. but at the end of the day it doesn't matter as long as you two are happy

Maybe you should take initiative to get to know them? I don't ever like my brother's girlfriends if they don't care to make an attempt to know me, lol... I feel like if you are coming into a family, it is your responsibility to put yourself out there. I don't think it's immature to expect that, it's just that usually when you get into a relationship, it's a package deal to include the family. You took the time and effort to get to know your man, you owe his family the same respect. Of course that is not always the case or everyone, there will always be situations that this doesn't apply to and I don't know your situation, so I could be completely off!
