My doctor only okayed mylanta. I just started getting heartburn in the past couple days but I have it 24/7 with my daughter and I took tums (at tum like skittles I really mean) but I was told that other medicines are okay as long as your doctor says so since everyone is different and every pregnancy is different

I've been taking it for 3 weeks now. like clock work and my baby is fine. it's on baby center ad an ok med to take and on all the paper work I've ever got saying what I could and couldn't take. and my OB said to take it over the other ones bc it works the best during pregnancy! and she said to take the highest dose! so I call bs to on the research part, I think you have your z meds confused. I think your thinking of Xanax(which sounds like Z-anax) which is for depression. not Zantac! js
It's safe.... Don't let people scare you. It's safe and the only thing that helps the heartburn for most people. Tums does NOTHING for me. Zantac is a life saver. My doctor gave me a prescription. It's perfectly fine
your welcome @leiromero sorry for putting it out like that but I know dam well it won't hurt the baby bc docs can get into serious trouble if they give a women something that will harm their baby they can loose their lisence and job

Its OK to take while pregnant my doc prescribed it to me because I get alot of stomach pain he said it's do to gas and alot of acid build up
