My son refuses to listen to me, he only listens to his dad! What am I doing wrong?? It's very irritating and I wish he would listen to me. Does anyone have any advice? He is 18 months old.

my nephew listens to his dad and my boyfriend but hardly listen a to my sister and I. I think they take more to males then females but I can be wrong. he's 16 months

I could see that. It's just frustrating because I punish him the exact same way his dad does. @lovelytee

if he is around you most of the time they tend to not listen when the other is around. my husband started telling our 'what did your mother say ' kinda helped some...

He doesn't listen to me when my husband is at work, or at home with us. It just makes me feel like I'm doing something wrong. @pooh2197

its close enough to be in the terrible two phase...they do not want yo listen. if u do time outs. ..its best 1 minute per year...it may not work on him...find the book the strong willed child. it helped when my first was about 2...and we had our 2nd...the author is great...
