I asked my nurse at the hospital and she told me unless you want to get into the tub and scrub it with bleach then don't do it...I was so upset but I listened. It sucks for those first 6 weeks!
Risk of infection... I'm also a ftm. My nurse just told me to be sure to sanitize anything I try to soak in. I also had to have stitches so there was increased risk for infection :(
My nurses and doctor let me take a bath in the hospital RIGHT after I had my daughter. And I took them at home as well, they never told me not to. It's so weird how doctors are so different from state to state.

You may not be healed all the way so I wouldn't recommend it.

@tonyajo92, im a ftm and didn't know you couldn't take a bath the first 6 weeks. Why is that?
