Tell him he can be there and even watch. It literally takes less than 10 mins after they prep you. It's quick! Recovery is no fun but he can be your support and help you. I had one Aug 24th and it will be okay. 😊

He knows he can be there he is concerned that something will go wrong

I would tell him this is what doctors do. You aren't the first to get it done. And if there was a risk your doctor wouldn't allow it. I'm guessing It's better for you and baby so I would tell him that

I'm guessing it's more risky for you to go through actual labor and so a c-section is a result of that. I had to have one with my first due to that. Just explain to him that the doctors know it's what's best for you and the baby. Every surgery has its risks but so does every Labor. Either way there are risks. Reassure him that everything is going to be ok and that the doctors are going to do what they do best(: and I literally was up and walking the next day after my c-section. My Obgyn is amazing and gave me the best advice and told me that the sooner I got up and walking and moving the easier and less painful the recovery would be. She was 100% right! I had ZERO pain and didn't miss a beat at all. I could walk and hold my son and pick him up myself. Even tho I had a lot of help it was nice having the freedom also after having a surgery.
