Question to ladies who have had their membrane stripped!

How far along were you when the doctor did it? Did you have to ask or did your doctor bring it up? Did it do anything?

I'll be 38 weeks and 3 days when we see our doctor. Can I ask her to do it or is it to soon? I wonder because I haven't been progressing on my own will it help?
If I'm still stuck back down at a 1 cm can she even do it

She may not be able to do it yet but you can ask. I wouldn't worry about not progressing. Baby will arrive between 38-42 weeks and you won't necessarily dilate until you're in labor :) I was 41+1 and wasn't dilated at all and within an hour I was at a 3 because of contractions! It will happen! I know how hard it is to be patient the last few weeks are hell. You're tired, sore & just want that baby OUT! Lol. But they have to come out eventually 😂

I was going to get mine done at 40w1d but I wasn't dilated at all I think you need to be at least a 2 or 3 before they can do it
