I think you should get one right after the baby is born while your still in hospital maybe he just needs to be sure that the baby is his before he steps up to the plate

thats stupid. smfh what an asshole but i wish they even giving me 300 a month. i mean he cant have custody unless ur doing something wrong. they would give visitation though or aloow you to arrange something. just remember its 2 different cases

in California you can set up child support but doing custody goes Thur family court. I was worried about the same thing with my daughter's bio father and asked and they told me that they don't deal with visitation or custody . if the child is with you most of the time and you are the one filling for child support you are the custodial parent and the father is the non custodial parent

I think you should just do the DNA test then decide what to do from there. My ex is the same way.. He don't think the baby's his but he and I planed this... Now he wants nothing to do with me. One day he wants to be in our daughters life the next he doesn't and worse part is he wants me to give her his last name.... Like he don't so shit for her....

Right that's rly hard. See my baby's dad is listed as a sex offender so I know he can't get custody of our daughter but for you, I would just show your a good parent and maybe try to get full custody of your baby now so that he can't get full custody? Does that make since??

If he wants a DNA make him pay for one after the baby is born my hubby pulled that shit and our son looks exactly like my hubby so I told him.he wanted one then he had to pay for it so he had his dad pay for it the results came back 2 weeks later and that problem was over, so make him pay for.it cause you know who the dad is and after the results come back make him give you a copy and if he don't step.up take him to court

he is if the results come back as the baby is his then he has to pay for it if they come back and baby isn't his you have to pay for it

Is he a bad guy? I mean other than denying that the baby is his? Why don't you want him to have parental rights? It really all depends on what type of person he is.

That's the thing. I am not gonna take his kid away from him if he wants to be in his life, I'll allow him to come see him whenever! BUT, I don't want him to try and get custody out of spite. He's an alcoholic and very irresponsible I would go nuts if my child went with alone. But idk how it all works considering we live in different states. @coraanne

Even if you file for child support and a DNA test he'll have to take you to court separately and by that time hopefully you and the father can work something out where he can show you that he can be a responsible parent.
