Considering not calling anyone when I go into labor and just wait until she's born. Had a scare yesterday where I had to go in for monitoring and not only did my mom call everyone in my family but she showed up at the hospital with someone I had never met. I'm an extremely private person and felt like this was inconsiderate. If I was dealing with a loss I wouldn't have wanted to deal with the barrage of phone calls I was receiving or have to deal with that in front of someone I just met

I only called my dad but he wouldn't tell anyone. And my mother in law but she only called who i asked her to because I didn't want to call people myself.

the hospital i delivered only lets 3 people in the delivery room , and you can actually tell them you dont want nobody there with you

@royce_nikol agreed. When ppl started calling I told her I didn't want to talk to anyone. She still proceeded to put them on speakerphone. This is part of the reason why I only want me and my SO in the delivery room.

@irisedith, the hospital I'll be delivering at has a limit of 2. She wants to be in but I'm on the fence because I just want it to be me and my SO, I don't want her taking pictures, I don't want her calling and giving ppl play by plays every twenty minutes, and she can be overbearing. I mean I love my mom and all but she can be frustrating

thats how my grandmother was she wasnt listening to the doctors and it was pissing me off , your plan sounds like a good idea lol

I'm thinking of doing the same and only tell who's watching my son. I had to be monitored at 35 wks and we called my SIL to get our son and see called and told everyone I was having the baby. So she's the last one were telling when I do go into labor
