good luck at affording rent in California lol. I love that state it's where I grew up. and I've watched all my friends struggle just to live.

@momma588, we are trying for on base housing so it shouldnt be too bad. My rent here is 1200 for a 3 bedroom house. 😩 i love texas lol

ahhh okay. lol. while my hubby was in the marines. we stayed in a trailer lol. instead of on base. he was stationed in the most miserable place ever. which was 29 palms lmbo. @shortiebs

No I don't like it here lol the weather's great but the people are..... Different. But I'm so busy with work that I don't have time to really meet people so it's my fault. I'm not from here. I'm from Baltimore, MD so it's like night and day compared to where I grew up.

But if you need any ideas on the different areas to live I can help. My husband is in the Navy but we don't live in base housing. We decided to live off base so he can pocket some of the BAH every month. Our rent is $1500 which is pretty decent for San Diego and I love the area we live in. Super quiet and clean. Close to the beaches and freeways
