im only 28 weeks but will be 31 weeks my next visit an would like to know what the strep B test is for an why do they do it i see a lot of ppl saying they have the strep B test coming up.

It's a bacteria that is in a lot of women's vaginas. It is not a STD it's naturally occurring. They check with a swab so they will know if you will need IV antibiotics during labor.

It's a test they do for pregnant women to makes sure they do not pass it onto babies it's very common to have and if u have it they just give u meds when u deliver so u don't pass it to baby it's kind of uncomfortable they swab ur lady parts to test for it
