let the baby latch on before you pump, its best to not pump until after at least 3 weeks after the baby born so your breast can know how much milk to produce.

OMG I thought I could just start pumping without her having to latch on at all...I'm just really scared of the pain that's why I didn't want to do the latching on but I guess I don't have a choice lol thanx hun @iheartriley

thank you :) @iheartriley and @kepoole83 I've just heard some horror stories and I know my nipples have been extremely sensitive and painful during pregnancy so I'm just imagining how it will fill with a baby sucking on them but hopefully my experience will go as well as urs lol oh and the cracked nipples part scares me too lol

It may or may not be painful at first but the lactation nurses will help you with latching :) imho pumping hurts me more lol.

Everyone is different. Your sensitive because of hormones now but just make sure you keep them moist and that makes a difference. The lansinoh(sp?) creme was one I liked a lot! It's just kinda weird at first ;)

Definitely try it out and see :) everyone is different! I definitely don't think pumping is the easy way! lol. I give exclusively pumping moms a TON of credit! I could never do it lol.
