What's the best way to cook an artichoke!?

My step mom cooks them in the microwave with a cup of water. Check on Pinterest?

I saw one for putting it in a double broiler and steaming! I just wanted to hear other people opinions since there are so many options on Pinterest!

Honestly there's several ways and they all turn out the same, so I'd pick the shortest and easiest.

I heard they are very good when cooked on the BBQ

I boil it and dip petals in mayo

grilled in seasoned or herbed olive oil or coconut oil
