I just had mine yesterday and I'm 35 weeks

at 36weeks

I would assume she plans to do it soon. They wait til so late in the pregnancy to test because the bacteria can come and go is what my Dr told me.. the test is not bad though she will just swab your vagina and butt a little and that's it. Doesn't hurt or anything. Lol.

You can get tested for it from 35-37 weeks. I'm getting mine next week, I'll be 36 weeks then.

my doctor test at 35 weeks and they don't really warn you they just say ok today we're doing the strep b test everything off from the waist down hahaha!

If they don't do it make sure you tell the office or L&D so they can get you the meds anyway just in case
