I had this best friend....we were finds forever...i made her my son's godmom....5 months ago she stopped talking to me. said she needed to settle down for her son and somehow me being married and having my own child stopped her from doing so....whatever. it's been about 6 months. she has never once checked on her god son. His first birthday has come and gone and nothing. it hurts my feelings a little bit because she's his god mom. at the same time if you don't want the duties or want to be in his life then leave. but let me know so I can appointment someone else. Ya know? I txted her this morning. I don't know if her number is the same but I told her how I felt and that if she didn't want to be his godmom she needed to say so because my son doesn't deserve to not have a godmom. is that wrong of me?

The whole point of a godmother is to help raise and guide the child through a Christian manner and to be there for the child. If your ex friend hasn't shown any of that, I would appointment a person that would take that responsibility seriously.
