Any mommies invest in a mamaroo or get one as a gift and be disappointed in it or never use it?

I don't have one, but I'm a nanny and the people I work for do, and I have to say it was disappointing. It doesn't produce the swinging or gliding movement that really soothes a fussy baby, it just sort of moves them back and forth. It's sort of hard to explain, but we would have been much better off with a real swing or a glider. .. Just my 2 cents! I've seen other moms say they liked it!

i got a used on on craigslist. so far ive seen two babie on it but they were not fuzzy. one was already 18 months but perfect size for her age. and she just chilled in it for half an hour. she enjoyed it as a fun ride. lol.

cant wait to try it on my own baby.

@yummycake that's a good idea to look for one on sale sites! So if I perhaps don't like it I won't have wasted as much

yeah..we were gonnaa get ours at babysrus when a lady brought her nine month and sat her in one and then she said to us...if u guys want one u can get one under a 100 instead of 260 on craigslist.

she had one that just has one motion i think. and ger baby hung out on it for ten fifteen minutes ...i was like aww lol.

I never used one but when my daughter was a baby she had a small swing that had about the same swing motion and when she was fussy it didn't soothe her so I had to get a full size swing for the full swing motion and that did the trick. But I think even if you were to get a new one and didn't like it, you could return or exchange it. Every baby is different, so it could be all your baby needs too! Good luck mama!
