Late night mind wandering in full swing....really having mixed feelings about labor. At first I was totally all for the epidural. But now as it gets closer...I want it all natural. Im just starting to doubt myself. Ive been having self esteem issues lately..and I'm a very anxious person. I am second guessing my ability to withstand the pain of possibly tearing. All of my sisters tore front to back and had a horrible time recovering. But my mom had all 4 of us au natural & her longest labor was only 4 hours. 🆘

First off you can do it! Have a good support system. That helped me a lot. Also if you have fast labor you might not even have time to get one. Also it's really not that bad recovering. You can get up right after you have the baby where as the epidural you cannot. Also epidural can cause a lot of back pain and long term back pain. You can do it momma. Everyone doubts themself at first! 💪🏻

youre so sweet! i think thats my problem...im lacking a support system here...the one i have (my family) are all up in ohio. ive been so homesick. my husband hasnt been nice to me lately & normally id shrug it off but its getting harder & harder. and i have heard horror stories about epidurals...the thought of those "what ifs" alone make me cringe. and i dont want to be a vegetable after the fact. @edomke

Honestly just go into it with an open mind...I wanted to go natural but if my body couldn't handle it I would get the epidural.. And that's Exactly what happened..I was mentally prepared to go all natural but my body was telling me something different..I started vomiting because the Pain was so intense..and my sons heart rate started to drop because he was in distress sooooo they gave me it at 7CM and boy was that awesome after that lol and after I didn't feel any pain because I was still numb and haven't had any back issues and my son is almost 3 now : )

aw that's wonderful! yeah id like to have an open mind. idk why i still have 6 weeks but it just hit me.....i can only imagine its gonna get worse from here on out lol

i am a little shocked that they would still give you the epidural at a 7 though!! either way..youre a fu*king trooper! lol @tysonnsmommy

@meganeileen6, my parents had 5 of us and my mom had us all without medication. Sometimes I think to myself if she can do why can't i. Only time would tell on the day of labor. Would love to have a natural birth but it all depends.

@meganeileen6, Thanks girly! You'll do fine it's my second baby and you get nervous all over again ! But just like the first time I'm just going to keep and open mind and as long as she's healthy I don't care how they get her out lol

I plan to go all natural but if I'm exhausted and need sleep in order to be prepared to push and I can't sleep through the contractions, or if something happens and I need it for some reason then I'll be okay with giving in. But I'd really rather not.
