is anyone else on here anemic and have to take iron supplements ? I found this out yesterday and for some reason I'm scared to take iron pills .

I take one in the morning I'm suppose to take them twice a day but I can't keep down the second one. so instead I munch of cereal a lot a hand ful on commercial breaks I mainly eat special k, since it's very high in iron and everytime I go to the doctor my iron is where it needs to be

yep I take 2 pills a day plus my prenatal. I gotta eat with my pills I take one at morning and one before bed and the pill I takes 325mgs each. plus I have the prenatal that has 75mg in it gosh. I don't think I need that much but apparently the dr does...
@liamandaria, been anemic all my life and more so since pregnant. Take ferrous sulfate 325mg twice daily. Don't be nervous to take them. You can take with or without food. But better absorbed with orange juice. Good luck. Only downsize it makes some people constipated as one of the side effects.
if you dont wanna take supplements id eat/drink a lot of things that have iron in it like cereal i love cereal an it has iron in it.
I have to take the 65 mgs 3 times a day. I was anemic before pregnancy and it got worse after I got pregnant... And then the iron pills make me sick so I have to eat with them and then the one at night I take right before I go to sleep
@dallasdawn13, @queenmother the nurse that called me yesterday told me to take the 325 mg one is that normal sorry I'm new to this .

I've had to take them with my son and my daughter. they make me feel better
I've been my whole life pretty much had to start taking them again for this pregnancy. I take one in the morning and one at night. Only difference is my poop is green now lol!
