Breastfeeding hope #2:

I had my first real breastfeeding struggle. It's my 4th day today. Liam has been rejecting my left boob. I figured it was because of the nipple.

He stopped feeding off it on like the 2nd day so I was concerned. I tried a different positions, offering it first when woken up, etc..

Anyways his first pediatrician appointment was today. His pediatrician specializes in breastfeeding( that's why we picked her) and she helped me with getting him to latch on the left! It was so engorged he could not latch. So we hand expressed and massaged it and finally got him to latch! I was so scared that boob would dry up or get an infection. I am so happy he's now nursing from it now!

I encourage you to get some professional help of you are unsure or discouraged because I didn't know what else to do.
