Ok so Lilliana came home yesterday mid afternoon. Leaving the hospital her Temps were good. She was 98.2. Coming home they've been 98.6 at first then 97.2 and 97.4 this last one around. I can't seem to get her warm and idk what today. She's has on a onsie, sleeper, blanket and a sleep sack and then a blanket over the top of her and she's still cold. It's 74° in our house and that's what it's been staying on. They said not to adjust the temp In the house that they'll adjust but she's not getting warm. This time around a I added another receiving blanket.
What she I do? And what will happen if she keeps getting too cold temperatures?

@danad269, I'm doing that's now, I'm hoping that helps. I'm trying to get a dryer ASAP to help but we haven't found one yet. I hope she warms up she's not really fussing or anything and feels slightly warm to touch, buts coming up too cold when I take the temp.

My NICU nurses always say to put a hat on their head since the heat goes quickest from that part of the body which will make them cold.

She wears a hat All day long, as well as a onsie and sleeper and usually has a blanket wrapped around her. she only started getting chilly aound 8 and I added a blanket to her but this time around when she woke up to fed she she was chiller.

check her head to see if she's not sweating. it could be she's so hot the sweat makes her cold?? I dunno if that makes sense

@ce5ce, well it's been like an hour or so since I did her touch time but I just took of her hat and her hair is wavy on sides and front.
Do you think that's what happened?

I think so... sounds like she's overheated. my daughter gets cold and clammy too when she gets too hot. I know, weird

So maybe I should use less blankets when I wrap her up this time around if she's warm?

My son is in an open air crib and we check his temperature every 3 hours ! They want the temperature to be between 36.7 -37.5 degrees Celsius ! My son wears a onsie under a pair of foot pajamas with a pair of socks. We swaddle him in a halo and he stays about 36.7 . With a layer and a moderate warm blanket swaddled baby should stay about right temp don't over do it with blankets !

Yeah her nicu said I probably over heated her then she sweated like Ce5ce said. She's better now and I put her in the attire they said to so well when she wake up in 3 hours. (:
