Like a birth coach. She helps you through labor and birth and is there to support you. She basically does everything you want and beyond that. She can help your husband too, if he's stressing. She does things like give you massages, counter pressure, calming oils, music of you want it, tells you how good you're doing and that you're strong enough to get through the pain when you feel like you wanna give up. I want a doula but I'm not sure I can afford it.
