unfortunately, there's not enough research to show any amount of alcohol while pregnant is safe. With that said, many cultures see no problem with pregnant women having a glass or two throughout their pregnancy. I have had a half glass on 3 occasions, consumed very slowly over the course of an hour and with food. Ironically, it's been the only thing that's made me sick throughout my pregnancy. I think a small glass, later in the second or third trimester is probably okay, but I'd still sip slowly and eat with it.
I have been told one glass every once in a while in your 2 nd trimester on is fine. I tried to drink one at my brothers wedding and it gave me such bad heartburn I couldn't finish it lol
As @levleah said there is no known amount of alcohol that is safe because every baby and pregnant body is different. However there have been studies done on pregnant woman who consumed a glass or two of red wine once a week through out their pregnancy and followed the development of those babies up to the age of 5. They found that all the women experienced no complications during pregnancy and all of them birthed healthy babies, by the time those babies were five their overall development was good progressing normal, a very slight decrease in IQ but nothing dramatic, and their behavior though was much more at ease and calm, well behaved then children whose mothers abstained from alcohol altogether throughout their pregnancy. A 2nd study was done the same way but followed women who drank more than 2 glasses of wine a week, again no complications and babies were born healthy, however by the age of five those babies development was poor, slow progress and their behavior was worse, significantly more behavioral issues and disorders, emotionally unstable and aggressive. As for my personal experience in my earlier weeks 8-13 I had one small glass of my in-laws homemade wine that husband drank most of it for me but the next day, and this was before I started getting morning sickness, I got so sick and I knew right then that my baby really did not like alcohol.

I wouldn't do it personally but then don't even want to take Tylenol and that's considered ok . I just rather be safe than sorry.

@tmoschetti06, @livd15 @levleah yeah like I've been kind of tempted but it's like I'm kind of scared only because I don't want it to hurt the baby!
