Most doctor's won't do another ultrasound after 20 weeks because. they're unsure if the extra ultrasounds can hurt the baby

my obgyn said I wont be getting another one unless there is something wrong. as much as id love to see here again id rather wait till she is here and safe.

Yeah usually you only get two. 12 week and 20 unless there's a necessity

are any of you in TX? nothings been wrong with me and I've had one at 8w to confirm, 13w, 20w for gender, 25w to try and get more pics of her face, I go Sept 4th to try and get a 3D, then they said at like 34w I'll get one to make sure she's head down....

😕 I couldn't imagine not getting one after 20w. and I have never ever heard of an ultrasound affecting a pregnancy/baby in anyway, or they wouldn't do them at all seems like. 😞

It's crazy how states are so different in that area. my SIL was the same way with both of hers. I'm sorry, I'm not trying to rub it in. I just don't get that. how could you NOT get them 😔 I think it's vital to see them. I feel for you mommies💔💔💔👎 @elly82 maybe you'll get another later in it, to make sure baby is head down! that seems like a legit reason to me to get one! maybe ask? lol say you have concerns baby isn't head down 😉
