So I love to debate. I don't know why lol. Not argue or fight just debate. I can do it for hours.

But I don't do it with people I'm very close to often because I know not everyone likes it and I'm not trying to upset anyone.

Well my mom likes to argue. Which is not the same. Not at all. She gets mad and takes everything personal. Plus she only ever uses one point over and over and just gets louder.

Well my mom thinks this is debating. I try to just not engage her but today she would not let it go. She kept trying to get me to debate my opinions on planned parenthood with her. She would not let it go so I tried.

Apparently it's stupid of me to say I support planned parenthood while also believing abortion shouldn't be used as birth control. Frankly I'm not sure how that even is relevant to the topic.

As I'm trying to keep the conversation civil and lead it away from abortion because I know my mom and I have different opinions and she's gonna take all this conversation personal.

And instead even though she's the one who was trying so desperately to get me to debate she just started yelling "oh whatever your just a soulless immoral atheist anyway it's not like your opinion matters"

Ouch. I don't talk about my athiesm much because I don't think it should be relevant to a person's character. But that hurt.

First off you knew I was an atheist when you started begging me to debate with you it wasn't a big shocker or anything. Second I never brought your christianity into my argument.

And my third and biggest complaint- WTF your my mother! So because I don't believe in your god I'm immoral? that's messed up. I think it's absolutely ridiculous to assume someone has a general lack of morals just because they don't believe the same thing as you.

Now I'm in my room highly offended.
