They can be easily hacked. My boyfriends uncle's truck picks up a family's feed on his navigation system everyone he drives pass that road

if you don't feel comfortable with the video one. they have really good ones with just sound.

I honestly wouldn't recommend getting any monitor that connects to wifi or Internet... There have been too many instances lately of them getting hacked. My neighbor actually got their signal crossed with another neighbor somehow and was watching the other neighbor's baby instead of their own. That's so scary! But it's all up to you and your preference.. Just my thought :)

Not all of the video monitors connect to WiFi..mine doesn't and its perfect for his room. we love it. <3
