Does nicu have a right to keep your baby without you wanting them to?

yes. as soon as my baby was born she went to the nicu(minus about an hour or so of being able to spend time with her). i wasnt happy about it at all and i didn't want her to go. but i had no choice.

Same here 😢 @juliagail09 she's supposed to be discharged today and her heart rate went down while eating not sure if she'll still be coming home but this is really not what i wanted 😔

oh im sorry momma :( yeah my baby was only in there for a couple days and she got out the day before we were discharged...but we were there for 4 days. i dont know how it is to leave without my baby. i cant imagine it. did you just have her?

oh so your still with her. wepl thats good. hopefully she can come home tomorrrow. if not hopefully very soon. shes beautiful and congratulations!!!

Yes they can , baby has to pass a series of "tests" as you will in order for baby to be discharged and go home ! I had my baby at 32+1 weeks and we are now on day 12 in the NICU hopefully your stay in the NICU is quick and you get to take her home soon :)
