yes sun helps a lot all 3 of my kids had it so I would lay them in front of a window with the curtains and window open and breastfed them

Aw! she's gonna be just fine. It is pretty common in newborns. mainly those who were born before 40 weeks. She just need some vitamin D which she can get from sunlight. Or a vitamin drop which is what I was given for my daughter.

my son had jaundice when he was born my brother said he looked like he was getting a tan with that mask over his eyes. but your baby will be okay ! it sucked for me cause I had to leave him at the hospital for a night cause I got discharged from the hospital but he came home the next day.

My second daughter had that I just put her in the sunlight in her bouncer for like 30 mins and it went away

in their bassinet or crib while sleeping, put the baby by the window

yes my son had it, cleared up a day or two later while I was in the hospital

i had jaundice when i was born its nothing to worry about im doing good nothing is wrong with me.

@expecting2015, all 3 of mine had high bilirubin levels and needed light therapy. My first was admitted back to the hospital for a level of 24!! She spent 3 days in there under the lights. We couldn't hold her and it was really rough. My second came home after 2 days and had a wallaby light. She was on it for 2 weeks and had blood work done by a home health nurse every other day. By my 3rd, I had them check his level ASAP after birth. He got some light therapy in the hospital and we went home after 2 days. Natural light and tons of feedings to flush out the bilirubin will help!
