You can find out before then. It's elective and accurate at 16 weeks.

At my dr's office it's up to you. If you wanna find out before 20 weeks you have to pay. It only cost me $50.

I'm wiling to pay because this is ridiculous

because insurance only covers so many ultrasounds and the development right now isn't good for pictures or measurements. the anatomy scan is a bigger more medical deal than just finding out the sex.

I went to goldenview ultrasounds in lakeview and found out at 15 weeks and 6 days. It cost $49, and they were great!

Some doctors want to be sure they will be able to tell the sex of the baby some will only do it once so the later it is the better.

I didn't find out till 26 bc little one wouldn't show lol but you'll be fine, it be more accurate
