I would like other opinions/experiences please..
I'm a FTM, pretty sure I lost some of my mucus plug the other day and ever since I've been sore "down there" and had severe lower back pain..
Me and my significant other haven't done anything recently or anything like that for me to be sore so I didn't know why I am..
just wondering if anyone experienced this and went into labor soon afterwards or know what could be the cause?

Just because you lose your mucus plus doesn't necessarily mean anything. How far along are you? If you're experiencing back pain and feel like you can't tolerate it then I would go to the hospital. I recently just had my first baby July 28th and at 1am I was feeling pain in my lower back kinda like menstrual cramps (felt like) and so then I got this urge to go to the bathroom (poop) but nothing came out and then every 6 min I would feel contractions and they got closer together so I timed them and when I got to the hospital I was 5 cm.

I am suppose to be 32 weeks but now I'm not sure, when I went for my 3D ultrasound appt they said I was measuring about 34-35.. I was more concerned with being sore than losing part of my plug because I know it can be weeks after you loose your plug before you go into labor.. but I don't know why I'd be sore in that area without having sexual contact or anything.. unless maybe he has dropped or something?

I lost party of mine this weekend ands I'm 29 weeks. your mucus plug can reform and can also rejuvenate. doesn't necessarily mean you'll go into labor.

also watch for pressure, blood, or acceleration of cramps/contractions.

Like I said in my comment I was more concerned about being sore rather than loosing my plug because I know it can be weeks before labor... but I didn't know why I was feeling sore and having such awful back pain... I put that I lost part of my plug because I didn't know if they were all related or anything because I wasn't sore or anything until after that

i lasted a month with lower back pains. like contractions but light....then one day they gotbworse and i lost my plug and my water broke and hours later had my second child. good luck hope its not ur going into early labor. :)

I don't think it was my whole plug, just part of it maybe.. and I've had back pain throughout my whole pregnancy but it's getting way more intense to the point I have to take Tylenol and anyone who knows me knows how high my pain tolerance is and how I hate taking medicine..
