Mommas, what do YOUR Braxton Hicks feel like? My whole stomach gets hard and I feel out of breath. They don't hurt…

Three pregnancies later and I don't know if I've ever had them.

Touch your belly if it is tight like the touch of your forehead then it's a BH if it's soft like the tip of your nose then it has stopped, BH are generally all over the place and not all the same times, real contractions will be 5 mins or closer, getting closer in time and tighter.

I read on a pregnancy website if a contraction (whether you think it's a Braxton hicks contraction or not) takes your breath away then it's more than likely a real contraction. so maybe you should go to the ER and see if it's labor or not. :)

Well the thing is I've been having them for the last 3 weeks and I'm only dilated 1/2 a cm and 35% effaced :/ @sophiesmom7

Oh ok. Well if you keep having them like more than 4 in a hour go and get checked just to be safe. :):)
