@optimommy, Braxton hicks are small, not as intense contractions they prepare your body for the real thing. Pretty much like a really bad tightening in the abdomen or back area. It feels similar to period cramps.
@optimommy, sometimes it feels like ur stomach gets ready tight and then some times it feels uncomfortable cramps either in your lower part of your back or stomach and sometimes both!!!

Yeah you can and it pretty much means you're having "back labor" aka braxton hicks in your back.

@queendavis, I hope not I can't remember if I had back contractions with my first child I just knew it was pretty bad!!! :(
