You can always do gel manicures you don't have to get acrylics. That's what I did

Why would you have to take them off I've always gotten acrylics the day before my kids were born

I got fanned tip round edges short

I got mines done before I had my son. Got them done super short &&- they still said it was long... go figure.

They was afraid I was gonna scratch him ... &&- I was afraid I wouldn't b able to take care of is circumcision. But I did great. He's actually 4 months now && I've let them grow out ( only had a fresh set about two times ) I just keep getting fill ins. Never really had a problem I've booked him once or twice but not hard never poked him in the eye or anything. Today I had to pop my pinky off so he could suck on my finger ( teething ) but that's about it. Only thing is I have a hard time in buckling him from his car seat sometimes. But I manager to do it after a couple of times && mines are pretty long

@kismet_carri your nails were pretty as ever when you had your lil man... those don't look so long...I was going to get them short anyway..I would be nervous about just getting poop in my nail and not being able to get it out and plus doing the buckles on the car seat other than that I'm sure I'll be fine

No my doctor and hospital don't ever say anything about my nails other than they love them lol

Really it's more of the edges being very square and/or gems that actually can do any harm but even then it just depends on how you handle the baby with your nails on I think
