how long should i breast feed? ive been doing both (formula and bf) going on 4 months, had anyone just stopped at 6 months?
@thehowtohippie, the reason why i dont want to nurse is because my mother in law told me that her son bit her nipple so hard that it left a bruise when she was breastfeeding him once had teeth
Technically you can stop any time. He'll need full formula for the first year of not breastfeeding. It's recommended to exclusively nurse for the first 6 months but you're already supplementing. It's up to you. Just wondering why won't you nurse when baby gets teeth?
like when can u quit and not have to supplement with formula just curious 6m or 1yr @edomke
ohhh okay @edomke because some of my family said i should go a full year but i told them i didnt want to ,that once he has teeth ill stop then they got all mad
Not all babies bite and you can get them to stop. I've been nursing for almost 14 months with teeth and I've never been bit. Just so you know if that was the only reason for stopping it's not something that like always happens
