My boyfriend and I are currently staying with his parents because we are saving up to buy a house. Which I don't mind. I love his family. They gave us the master so we have room for Mia and they'd honestly like it if we stayed here forever. (Not gonna happen) But I swear, I really wish we could find a place before she's born. I do not want my daughter growing up getting the same dirty ass looks that me and my boyfriend get every time we go into town. Yeah, he's a few shades darker than me. So fucking what. I've learned to just ignore it (to a certain extent) But some people have no boundaries. This one lady stared us down from the moment we got out of our car, walked into the restaurant and sat down. My boyfriend eventually got up, bent over sideways and stared her down for a good minute before she finally got the hint to keep her eyeballs at her own table. We live in a small town. There's a little bit of every race, but it's mainly white people and Mexicans. We get dirty looks from all races, but mainly white people. I just wish we could move now at least 45 into a bigger city. I know, people will still look at us like we're committing a crime but I know it won't be as bad as it is here. I do not want my daughter growing up around this shit. And in this town, she'll be right in the middle of it. I hate it here. It's a beautiful town with ugly people. I just want better for my family. 😔

People do that to my husband and I when we go out, mainly black girls stare at us since he is black and I'm white, some even say things under their breath or break their necks trying to see our daughter and all the time ppl say are those your kids to him smh ppl are so rude just because she has colored eyes I understand your frustration

@ak16 People stare. They whisper. They give us dirty looks. Hispanic woman look at my sideways because I'm white and he's Mexican. I'm praying for their sake that no one dare say anything about our daughter once she's here. I can ignore if, but don't bring my child into it. And I would have slapped someone by now if they had the nerve to ask if she was his!

I just look at them and he tries to laugh if off but some of them wait til I'm gone once I took my oldest to the bathroom and I could hear the girl as I was in the bathroom asking questions she was no where to be found once I was out because I was looking now when I see her I just mug her she tried to tell my daughter bye one day since she worked at the store I just turned and said do not speak to my kids!

People stare at me and my fiancee all the time . He's black and dark and I'm Mexican and black . I've always gotten looks so That doesn't bother me but he isn't used to that . My family would make jokes about him and because of that I stopped speaking to them for awhile until they understood that he is gonna be in my life . Last time I got a look was when I was in Target and this woman saw us together and was like "I hope you baby is your color " and we were like shocked that ppl still do that

Don't pay attention! You can always respond that newborn kids have no color, religion, ethnicity etc. and if they grow up as is its their moral problem not yours.

@ainsleighsmommy wow! That's crazy. I know someone is bound to say something no matter if our daughter comes out tan like her dad or white like me. I'm a redhead so my skin is fare. I tolerate it to an extent now my boyfriend however does not. He will tell someone off in a heartbeat. I just try not to get my blood pressure up since I pregnant so I try and ignore it. But God help the person who says the wrong thing or looks at my daughter sideways once she's here. I will go into full on momma bear mode.

@reaganmommy2015 that must be nice! I'm wanting to move to Asheville. Which is a bigger city and more racially diverse. The only dirty looks I get there is from jealous girls and a few gay guys because my boyfriend is cute. Haha.
