It's expensive in my town too (Tahoe, Northern California). It's INSANE how much rent can be for something so basic. For apartments here they don't have any extra amenities like a pool or a gym, and they have shared laundry rather than washer/dryers in the unit and its still 800-1100 for a two bedroom, NOT counting how much is costs to keep heated (some of us were using our heaters in town the other night; we live in a cold part of California) but it's so messed up how much rent can be in this state.

I shared a room with my first until she was a year and a half... They don't really need their own space until their older, maybe by then you and your hubby will find something affordable. Don't feel bad momma!

True @expecting2015 Right @kimberlyyyy how they expect us to live. Rent for a 2 bedroom is about 1600 a month for something decent. We both have good jobs but rent on top of bills it sucks!

Ya that's what everyone keeps telling me @coraanne but idk I always pictured me decorating a nursery I guess as long as she has a roof over her head and a nice environment that's all that should matter

why you feel guilty the first few months of her life she probably won't be in a nursery any way lol

M@kcal12 I felt the same way at first, guilty and a little disappointed that I wouldn't be able to decorate a nursery and have everything in its perfect spot. We too only have a bedroom and living in NYC, the rents are insane. But then I started to really think, 'hey! I'm going to have a little baby of my own!' Lol And that idea kinda flooded over the disappointments of any traditional nursery.

I know @phasion that's what everyone keeps telling me I think I just got caught up for a min seeing all these mommies posting pics of their cute nurseries and my friend just had her baby went to her house and she showed me her baby's room. Think I just got hormonal and emotional lol

don't feel bad, we're in a one bedroom apartment with 2 big dogs and 2 cats, but we're happy and it'll all be okay. plus they don't need their own room until they sleep in a bed

@kcal12, totally understandable as long as your little one have a place to rest their previous head at . But don't beat yourself up about it and trust me you're going to be happier with sharing a room with your little one plus it's easier you don't have to get up and check every minute with sharing a room all you have to do is roll over and see your precious baby is alright , you'll sleep better and have that reassurance . When your baby gets older then you can worry about a room and at that age she will remember she's not going to remember one bit of you had a nursery for her lol trust me mommy it will all work out
