Thoughts on Zofran and Reglan? I was prescribed both for nausea but I'm reading terrible things…

My aunt used zofran and her daughter was born with one kidney. I used it and nothing is wrong with my son. So it's pretty much like a 1 in x scenario. Zofran has been linked to sum birth defects so.. Idk

I wouldnt risk taking Zofran! Dont know about Reglan though. I tried both and neither helped with my nausea. If thats what it is for I would ask your doctor for Diclegis. Its made for pregnant women and its very safe.

correct me if I'm wrong but cancer patients use zofran. so that kinda gives you the idea of how intense it is. it's a great medicine don't get me wrong I've used it multiple times but not since I've been pregnant. I got prescribed vitamin b6 for the nausea. my nurse told me if I took it everyday it would help the nausea not be so bad and you can take it up to 3 times a day. I've been taking it for 3 weeks and no nausea. I stopped earlier this week cause I thought I was in the clear and today I had some nausea so I got back on it. I feel much better now! there's also preggie pops that help and ginger tea :)

Yea I'm going to stop with the Zofran, it doesn't work that well for me anyway. on the other hand, the Reglan works great. which is why I'm super curious about how people think of that drug :)

I'm super interested in the Diclegis! it has a form of vitamin b6 in it, am I correct? @alayna22

Im not sure actually, i started taking it at 9 weeks and I'm glad i did or I wouldn't have made it through the pregnancy. Its a newer pill. You might be able to get some free samples from your dr. It is a life saver. My Dr. Prescribed me Reglan again last week as a bowel stimulant but Im not going to take it. the less meds the better. I think its safe too though. It has been around for a long time.

Diclegis has saved me my whole pregnancy & yes it contains B6...but it's new so many many insurances don't cover it & it costs $700! So every time I go the nurse hooks me up w samples bc neither one of my insurances covers it. In the beginning I was prescribed Zofran & I've taken it a total of probably 5 or 6 times. It helps a little. The side effects are so all over the place so u never know. & yes it's given to cancer patients but not for their cancer it's because they are nauseous after treatment lol. It's considered safe for pregnancy but if u can get Diclegis go w that, it's a miracle pill! Good luck, I feel ur pain!
