My mom and sister come to me asking me if I'm gonna end up having postpartum depression 'cause of my history with depression before I got pregnant.. They're afraid that I might end up having it and might end up hurting or killing my son.. 'Cause I guess other mom's have done it before.. THAT DOES NOT MEAN I WILL DO IT! 😞 I AM TOO TOO EXCITED TO MEET MY SON AND HAVE HIM IN MY ARMS! WHY WOULD I END UP KILLING MY GREATEST GIFT/BLESSING FROM GOD?! 💔😣 That hurt me... Really bad but I didn't tell them that 'cause they NEVER let me talk.. 😭 Just because I tried to take my life LAST YEAR doesn't mean I'm gonna take my son's life! I love my son so much already.. I WILL NOT BECOME LIKE THOSE CRAZY ASS MOTHERS OUT THERE HARMING THEIR KIDS! NOPE. 🙅🏽 If I do end up having postpartum depression, I can EASILY ask my doctor if I can get back on my medicine I was on before I got pregnant! 💯💊

I'm in the same boat....as long as my husband knows I would never do anything to my daughter idc what anyone thinks I told my mom what I suffer from is due to being raped and molested for years as a child and then having lost 7babies that would cause anyone to be depress doesn't mean I would hurt the one thing I want more then anyone can imagine

That's bull shit doesn't listen to them I'm having severe depression and throwing. Stuff using bad words all the time .. Your baby you won't hurt trust me

I'm not gonna block them out because they've been helping me so much with my pregnancy since I came back home here from Texas.. @journeimommy15 I need my mother in this.. And my sister is letting me and my man live with her until we can get back on our feet. They never let me speak what's on my mind.. I hate it.. But I know once my son is here I will start to put my foot down.

I have depression too. I stopped taking my antidepressants when I found out I was pregnant so I'm afraid of postpartum depression. I think that those are extremely severe cases of postpartum depression. I'm sure everything will be fine with your new baby. They shouldn't say things like that to you

Most likely this is the main reason which you might have depression other words you were bored... Now..you would never feel bored again in your life. Explain this to mom.

If they really want to help they need to educate themselves on depression and post partum. Saying insensitive stuff to a person with depression is the worst thing you can do. Maybe they can get some books or pamphlets to help support you better

I have a history of depression and I tried to kill myself in high school. I was depressed while pregnant with my son but the second I saw his chubby face, I immediately got out of it. You will be fine :)
