The doubly shirt method is great. It may be a little uncomfortable at first, but they should be fine. If you don't make a huge deal about it and explain that breasts are made to nourish babies, they should be okay with it after a little bit. Breastfeeding can be awkward at first, but everyone gets used to it, and eventually it's just how things are. I'd rather my children, especially my sons be comfortable with the idea of breastfeeding. My daughters too, of course. People over-sexualize breasts and forget the reason we actually have them- to feed our babies.

@cookiemonster1216, I totally agree with you he knows what it is and that they ate for feeding babies its just been three years since I've breastfed in front of him but he's been waking in unannounced and I've just been getting used to him being around it if people didn't sexualize breast so much I think I'd be more comfortable in public as well instead of awkwardly trying to covet me and the baby or find a spot with less people,as for doing it around my kids I can get more comfortable with that quicker

The double shirt method is where you basically where a tank top or any type of undershirt under whatever you're wearing. So you have a tank and a t shirt on, you lift up your t shirt to where it covers the top half of your boob, then you pull your boob out from your tank top. So basically your top shirt is acting as a nursing cover. Only thing exposed is your nipple but it will be covered when the baby latches. I swear by the double shirt method!

Nursing in public gets easier with time lol At first I was uncomfortable but then I basically said screw it lol I do the two shirt method without a cover and people can literally get within touching distance before they realize I'm nursing. It helps that I have small boobs though lol Just remember that you are lawfully protected breastfeeding in public, and don't let anyone be rude to you. I've never had any bad reactions and I've bf at Wal-Mart, the park, swimming pools, church, doctors offices, restaurants, college cafeterias....basically everywhere lol

@cookiemonster1216, wish I had smaller boobs it didn't help this older lady was eyeing me down the first time I did it in public I was covered and he was in his boba wrap which wasn't comfy and got awkward ,also I thought at first I wouldnt care who saw or that id be uncomfortable but the first time I took my son out I was but obviously fed him anyways, and I don't know what I would say or how id even react if somebody were to be rude about me breast feeding my child going to start getting out more so it gets easier ☺

You're welcome, it's a lifesaver! If you just start BFing more and more in public eventually you stop giving a shit lol. The awesome part is that it's seriously against the law for ANYONE to say ANYTHING! 😆 I love it lol. One time I was walking around Walmart BFing my son, you literally could see NO skin. But some guy had the nerve to tell me I was disgusting and needed to go to a bathroom stall to do that nonsense. Let's just say my husband about turned his ass inside out lol and multiple strangers who overheard went off on him like crazy, management even got involved! It was seriously awesome.

@queendavis, that is what has saved me too! It's so much more convenient and you're not exposing your stomach or anything but what you have to! Seriously has saved my modesty for the last 13mo
