I am having an emotional moment. I was visiting with my neighbor today (very sweet lady). I told her I have childbirth classes that start today. She says, "what do you need classes for? Childbirth is natural. What do you need to know? That's what grandmothers and mothers are for." I told her that my grandmothers are no longer living and my mother is half way across the country." (She is taking care of her dying sister and we don't know if or when she will be able to come visit.). I know my neighbor means well...I just smile and say it's good to have information and it may not change anything, but allows me to be informed. I chatted with her more and was fine. However, I have been crying since I got home. My circumstances haven't changed. I've known since i moved away from my family that I would most likely be going through this process and labor and delivery with just my husband. However, I just want to cry today.
