How old does your baby have to be before you have "tummy time" with them

No particular age. You usually start when they can kind of hold their head up

@arielle, okay because my baby is a week old today and from day one she's been trying to hold her head up lol she moves it around constantly so I wasn't sure if she had to be older or if we could start now

Yea some babies can do that sooner than others so that's why I don't really think it's an ago thing. My daughters delivery doc said we should start tummy time at one of her appts and she was only a few weeks old, maybe 4.

my son started at 3 and half weeks but he had great head control

my doc just told me yesterday you can start tummy time the day they come home!
