I've only gained 12 pounds so far and I'm 7 months and my doctor told me if I keep gaining weight…

That's ludicrous. Why would they say that??

@kmally, I guess cause I've gained those 12 pounds in the last 3 months but I'm really tiny I would think I need to gain more weight lol

lol well I gained way more than that with my first and had an unmedicated vaginal birth. I have a friend who gained 100lbs (crazy!!) and still was able to have a vaginal birth. 12lbs is nothing! Lol.

That doesn't make sense.. I've gained about 45lbs and my dr hasn't said anything about me not being about to deliver vaginally

@kmally, @santistevanmommie she told me I need to watch what I eat! Lol but I rotate doctors every appt so I will ask the my next appt what she thinks

Yeah I would drop that doctor in a heartbeat. There are times and places where c sections are needed for the health of the baby but 12 lbs at 7 months is perfectly healthy weight gain. Sounds like that doctor is c section happy.

That does not sound right at all... I agree with previous poster that doctor sounds a little c section happy... Some of them (whether or not some wanna admit it) prefer if all of their patients did c sections even if they weren't medically necessary... Only 12 pounds? That's nothing... And certainly not a reason to get a c section if you can have a perfectly normal delivery. I'd suggest talking to another doctor or just getting another OB because you will be gaining more weight because it's NORMAL to do so.

Btw I am almost 33 weeks and I've gained over 15lbs and I am even overweight... My Doctor has never mentioned anything about a C section or my weight being too much or to even limit myself.

@ftmbabyboy11, thank you because I was having a hard time gaining weight due to morning sickness and I was getting scared but I feel better now and will defiantly talk to my other doctor!
