I know that feeling very well. my mom was a shitty parent and I may as well if been invisible. we aren't close at all and my dad was in prison so I haven't really seen him since I was two months old. I just feel this whole when I see moms and daughters having spa days or Dada and daughters out having fun....

I totally get it. My mom wants the "Gilmore girls" relationship but how she treated us growing up and sometimes now, we never had a close relationship she wants. My dad has always been there but he's more reserved and worked a lot. He wasn't the talking type. Long story short, verbal abuse(some physical) stays with you when you are an adult and parents who never admit how they treated you aren't the parents you want to be close to. :( I cannot wait to have my own family and excited to have our baby boy here so I can experience trust, unconditional love, and peaceful environment. Sometimes I'm scared I'll be like my parents sometimes but I've come a long way to train my responses and I've had to learn and still learn how to properly communicate and my husband has been the one to help me, thank god. I'm so blessed to have him! (Sorry so long)!! My relationship with my parents are okay but nothing like I would have wanted because of the emotional scares I have. I have let go of some of it. It's hard.

it just sucks because my dad re married and has a little family but he forgot that he has 3 other kids but since we grown we don't matter ..in fact we never did if I really think about it . my parents gave me and my brother up at age 3 and 2 . my little sister was given to some other family (long story) then when I moved with my dad because he got his life togther I always got beat because I remind him of my mother and my "attitude" then at age 15 my baby sister (step sis) came in and all the suddent we weren't shit and still ain't . they take "family" pic and crop us all out and just be them 3 and it Hurts. I'm not a drug addict I have a career of my own and they can't even say hey ... I'm proud of u but let me fuck up and OMG they will be the first people to say how fucked up of a person I am .
