I'm the same way, started with nothing and need everything. I still haven't actually boughten anything. I'm waiting till after my baby shower to see what I get and then I'll go from there. But if you're not having a baby shower, then I'd say it never too soon to start buying.

Well if you register at babies r us they give you a great list of things you need and things that may be nice to have.

No time frame! I did mine WAYY before more shower. It's whenever you feel like it. I'd make two registrys though! I did mine at target and babies R us, and there are just some items at target that are cheaper to get then at babies r us. Like a bassinet
