I didn't post until she was born. There are way to many false labors anyway. Just tell them you went in to get checked out because you weren't feeling well, and you had the baby. They will never even know how long you were there before giving birth, so, I'd just invite them up when you're ready. (:

You can let the hospital know who you would approve of being there or not . They will keep them out for sure lol

I think it's ok. Our situation is a bit different. my mom is really invasive and makes me uncomfortable so we decided not to tell her I'm in labor right away and just tell.hubbys family since they have to travel to get to us

I honestly don't want them there at all. or the kids anyways. it's going to be hard because one of my aunts & my papa live about 3 hours away so I want them to know I'm having the baby but they will call the rest of the family & I don't want that.

I want everyone to know but I just don't want them showing up because I know it will be stress on me.

I really want all of my husband's family to be able to know because they all live 8+ hours away so I would like to keep them updated. plus I know it's going to be hard to keep my stepdad from posting it because I'm his baby & this is his first grand baby

Call & talk to them before and tell them your wishes and what you want... hopefully they will abide by your wishes

I thought about that. I don't really talk to my mom's side of the family much but I know they want to be a part of this. I just don't want 9 kids under the age of 10 running around the hospital

I told my family not to post anything about me and my baby on social media at all if I'm not doing it then why should you and I told them personally I didn't want anyone at the hospital after I have him until after a hour @fancy.shattuck

I asked everyone who will be there not to post any kind of status or picture until I do first. also asked for the first hour to Just be me baby and my fiance. I don't want his Mother there at all whatsoever so I don't even want her knowing.

You can always tell them hospital policy does not allow children under 13 at the labor and delivery area. I have seen signs at my L&D stating no one under 16 after 8 pm or something like that

thanks ladies! I know we are all going to want to post pictures even myself included & that's fine I don't mind that I just don't want a crap ton of people actually at the hospital. I'm not sure if they have any age restrictions or anything like that because I haven't taken my hospital tour yet.

I found this on preggie actually and was going to utilize it when our time comes 😊
