Moms with older children, when did you guys start potty training? Did anyone start at 18 months? If so can you give me some tips? I need tips period hahahaha
@angsal, that's how I feel. I don't want to babies in diapers. My son is 16 months and he will be 19 months when baby 2 is due. I want to be at least working on it when she gets her. hahaha
@arielmarietalks, I think it jus depends on ur baby. I started recently because he talks a lot more now he understand a lot more than before. I had to try soon because I due in September and I don't want two baby in diapers.
Potty chart potty chart potty chart! We made one for my daughter and it worked like magic! Buy a big poster board, let your kid choose their own stickers. When they pee they get one sticker to put on the chart, two for poop. She hardly had any accidents after we started! I had s few friends do the same and it worked for them too ☺️
@arielmarietalks try and see thats what we did with Tristan and he said he was a "big boy"
@proud_mommyof4, My husband is really interested in teaching my son to go to the potty, we will sit him on the potty and he sits there, he's acting interested, I'm just not sure lol
We are still getting the potty training down. My son is 2 yrs and 8 months. I started with him at the beginning of the summer and he has his good weeks and bad weeks... We waited till he started showing interest in it and could control bladder.
I feel like I should wait until then, I have a very aggressive parenting style and I tend to try and get my son to do things sooner lol. I think having two babies in diapers is freaking me out even though it's totally normal. Maybe I should just chill hahahaha. @angsal
Personally i think boys are more interested if daddy shows them also reward them for trying and if they do it !! Lots of repetition
@arielmarietalks, yea I get it. well it doesn't hurt to try. U jus got to be dedicated on teaching him. I'm sure it'll work or at least he'll have an idea.
