ppl really arent supposed to raise children on their own. it really should be a team effort. When mom gets overwhelmed/tired dad takes over and vice versa. Mom is the nuturer while dad is the provider/protector. When ur a single parent you get 0 breaks. You're everything. its all you a majority, if not all of the time. we hear of tragic stories of mothers going through PPD and drowning their kids or turning the gas on and leaving their children in the house and although that mother should have sought help before getting to that point, a sane mother who may have been overwhelmed at one point or another can empathize with them. All in all, a person shouldn't have to raise a child on their own, but if you are a single mom who is in a situation where you are raising your child by yourself, remember God will never put more on you than you can bear. He will supply all of your needs and has prepared you for a time such as this. Be a good example for your child and show them a better way

@helpedbytmh, I believe so. I'm on my 4th child and I'll only be 26 in a few months, but I made it this far and I'm not giving up. I love my daughters and I know that God wouldn't have blessed me with them if he knew that I couldn't handle it. Just gets hard at times being a single mom. I just dont plan on getting married again, at least not any time soon

Im 26 as well, it gets tough with one so I can only imagine with 3 and 1 on the way but you got this! If you desire to be married again, God will bring the right person in your life who will not only be good to you, but good to your kids. its important for us as mother's (of daughters especially) to be a good role model especially when it comes to the men we allow in our lives because they're watching and imitating us. its nothing but single mothers in my family, I knew no different, but single motherhood stops with me. Its not easy and its not what I want for my daughter. God bless you, I can tell you children have someone great to look up to and congrats on your blessing on the way!

@helpedbytmh, Thanks so much, My oldest is turning 6 on the 6th of August and my twins will be 4 a few days after my due date. It's crazy not having any sons but coming from a big family of girls I figured I wouldn't have any. I'm determined to be all I can be for my girls and just yesterday my mom was saying how proud of me she was for being a better mother than she was. It made my day and I really needed to hear that because I had to grow up watching her struggle as a single parent and no matter whom she was with, she always put her kids first. I just dont want the single mom cycle passing on to my daughters so I'm giving myself time to allow God to send me and my daughters someone who will always be there and love them like their own
