Who has had their tubes tied at the time of birth or after birth? I am planning to have mine done, my Medicaid is being a pain in the butt so if my plan doesn't change I have to wait and go to another county just to have my tubes tied if it changes then I can have it done at the time of birth. So my question is... Is there any extra healing time when you have them tied at time of birth and if you waited til after birth what was the healing period for it?

Idk about any of this but being that your going to be in bed and have epidural id do it at birth.

@forever_hungry, I'm not sure which way I'm going to be able to have it done yet it depends on my Medicaid.

I would wait because after birth your body is going to be recovering/healing, trying to revert back to your pre-pregnancy body that includes your whole pelvic region- it will be changing/reforming.
