Sleepy time! its the best time right?! I would like to start trying to transition my son from my bed to his bed, he is one and EVERY SINGLE TIME I lay him in his crib he wakes before I leave the room. SCREAMING! If I lay him in my bed (that i have to crawl and climb into(king sized) his head will be flopping back and forth and nothing wakes him. I dunno why. up until about 1 1/2 months ago he would at least start out in his bed and then come to mine but the last month it's been a no go. He even takes his naps now in my bed! Advice?
PS I secretly love it but I know he needs his independence and he takes up like HALF of my KING SIZED bed! HOW?!?! He's 2 1/2 ft tall!

you just have to be firm . I would put him to sleep in your bed then when he's sleep wait until he in REM sleep that's like 20 mins after he drifts off . then move him to his bed. if he wakes up in the middle of the night , be firm with him and tell him he needs to go to sleep in his bed. and that he will sleep with you tomorrow. then , once you get him to sleep during the night in his own bed , then transition it to naps , and night time. keep doing that until you think he's comfortable enough to sleep in his own bed without you . it will take some time because you have to break the habit. but , with no letting up and stick to the plan , you v will have your bed back in no time . I had to get my daughter that way too. she didn't have her own bed at first . now she sleeps in her own room , in her own bed.

Lol. I'm weak tho! he cries I feel bad. even if he "only" cries for 5 mins he whimpers for a hour even while he's asleep and it just breaks my heart.
