my grandfather passed away on 2/6/2010.
my grandmother wants me to go through some of his things and take what I want.
well lately, really bad it's been hitting me that he wasn't there for my graduation, my first tattoo (even though he wouldn't have approved and I would have heard "if God wanted that on your body you would have been born with it") and now he won't be here to for the birth of his great grandson :'( we are giving my son my grandfather's name as his middle name but I still get upset daily thinking he won't be here for this :(

I feel your pain love. Just know he's watching down on you and your son. I know it sucks and isn't the same as him being here though. It's definitely hard but he wants you to be happy! 💓

thank you! and I know I'm trying to be happy but it's hard when i was his little girl and now he's gone and im just like what do I do now. my mom tells me I need to let go and try and remember the good times but I just can't he is suppose to be here for this and I feel cheated she went to the funeral I didn't get to I stayed back and watched my 2 month old brother for the month and a half she was gone..... :(
just never got to say goodbye :(

it is very! but I have this poem that I put on my gpas obituary I will share it with u if it helps. my gpa was my dad my everything so it's hard.

I feel your pain hun. I'm sorry for your loss. my papa passed 1-15-06 and its been one bumpy rough road for me since he passed. it stinks that he isn't here to meet his great granddaughter. but I know he's looking down and he is proud and he is one of her angels. just know your baby has an angel looking over him\her.

I'm so sorry I think if there is something of his that was special to you. You can keep it and share that with your baby when he gets older as a reminder of who his great grandpa was. Or maybe there is something that you can pass down to him which would be so special.
